Consultant clinical oncologist
Dan Ford
Alongside seeing patients privately with BPS, Dr Daniel Ford has a busy NHS practice and offers extensive experience in the management and treatment of uro-oncology. He treats all oncological aspects of prostate, bladder, kidney and penile cancer.
- Dan initially trained at Birmingham University before completing specialist training in the West Midlands and London. He returned to take up his consultant post at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) in Birmingham in 2007.
- He specialises in treatments including radiotherapy, SABR, hormonal therapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy and new/novel diagnostics and treatment options such as PSMA PET and Lu177. He treats patients on a range of different platforms, including the MR Linac and CyberKnife.
- Dan’s previous roles include clinical research lead for the region and clinical lead for the oncology and radiotherapy departments at the QEH.
- He is well published and has co-authored a wide range of current and cutting-edge trials, including Stampede and the PACE trials.
- Outside work, Dan enjoys spending time with his family, playing and umpiring hockey, gardening and travel.
