How a pre-operative PSMA PET scan helped David become cancer-free
When a CT scan suggested David’s cancerous prostate mass hadn’t metastasised, he chose to have a private PSMA PET scan. It revealed cancer cells in a lymph node that the CT scan had missed, and which Alan Doherty was able to remove during a radical prostatectomy.
David’s PSA levels today are happily undetectable.
Chris’ successful radical prostatectomy at just 50 years old
Chris Dando was in his late forties when he noticed that he needed to pee in the night more often than usual. After a prostate cancer diagnosis and open surgery to remove his prostate performed by Alan Doherty, Chris is back on the path to good health.
Alan’s use of a specialist nerve-sparing technique means that Chris’ normal erectile and urinary functions also came back ‘double quick’.
