Mr Hariom Sur

Mr Hariom Sur is a Consultant Urological Surgeon specialising in the treatment and management of prostate and bladder cancer and benign conditions, including benign prostatic enlargement and kidney stones.

• Hari is a Consultant Urologist at The Harborne Hospital and University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust.
• He completed his higher surgical training in the West Midlands, before undertaking further fellowship training at Fremantle Hospital in Australia and at the Birmingham Children's Hospital.
• His specialist interests include the management of patients with urinary stone disease and non-muscle invasive bladder cancer.  
• Over the course of his career, Hari has been involved in upskilling higher surgical trainees in urology. He’s currently educational lead for resident doctors training in urology at University Hospitals Birmingham. He has also been an invited faculty member on courses for ureteroscopy and the treatment of kidney stones.
• Hari has been actively involved in research and has presented at numerous national and international conferences.
• Outside work, Hari enjoys reading and learning about history, and is a fitness enthusiast who participates in CrossFit, powerlifting and running.
