Why is measuring long-term outcomes important?
While it can be difficult to measure and interpret long-term outcome data in an accurate and meaningful way, at BPS we think it’s an important exercise. That’s because we can gain valuable insight into the functional and quality of life outcomes over time that really matter to you.
So, we’re currently in the process of measuring, as accurately as possible, outcomes such as:
- Urinary frequency and urgency
- The weight and number of incontinence pads used
- Erectile function before and after surgery
Reviews, case studies, and word-of-mouth recommendations are other useful ways to assess a consultant’s approach and gauge the long-term outcomes they achieve through various procedures.
