I have bladder or kidney cancer, can you help?

Yes, we can. Our exceptional multidisciplinary team of oncologists and urologists offers all the most advanced treatments for primary and metastasised bladder and kidney cancers.

Male patient with consultant

Non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (often referred to as superficial)

  • Our specialist urologists are likely to recommend the surgical removal of the lesion using a camera into the bladder (cystoscopy) and potentially other treatments instilled into the bladder.
  • They’ll then keep the bladder under surveillance with repeat cystoscopies.

Muscle-invasive bladder cancer

  • Cases where the tumour has grown deeper into the bladder wall (muscle) and potentially spread outside of the bladder (metastasised) to other parts of the body are often jointly managed by urologists and oncologists.
  • Our specialist multidisciplinary team will suggest a range of treatments, including cystectomy (bladder removal surgery), radiotherapy and drug treatments, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy and new options such as Enfortumab Vedotin.

Kidney cancer

At BPS, we offer a comprehensive kidney cancer treatment service, including:

  • Surgical kidney removal (nephrectomy)
  • Radiotherapy (SABR) or ablation of renal lesions
  • A full range of adjuvant and metastatic drug options, including immunotherapy and tyrosine kinase inhibitors
